After giving masterclasses at the Falun Conservatory of Music twice (the last time being January 2005), and after hearing their students entrance examinations to Stockholm Royal University College of Music for many years, there is no doubt in my mind that the violin program is taught at the highest professional level, and in my opinion, ranks with the top violin programs in Scandinavia.
The students show excellent technical command of the instrument, as well as a fine sense of musicianship. The excellent training they achieve at Falun is best demonstrated by the students staying with the profession, as well as their winning jobs in orchestras.
