The Falun Conservatory of Music, which I have visited in my capacity as a guest professor, is an irreplaceable school of its kind. It serves an important purpose in Swedish music culture and is the link between our talented students and professional music in Sweden. By means of its unique school form and - above all – its high standards, the Conservatory of Music continuously delivers gifted young people to music colleges around the country. Without this type of school there is a risk that these young talents would concentrate on something else thereby impoverishing Swedish music culture. I hereby give this school my strong support.
