Tobias Ringborg about the Falun Conservatory of Music:

For many years I have regularly visited the Colleges of Music in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmö in my capacity as a violin teacher as well as a conductor of the symphony orchestras at these schools.

It is remarkable how many of the students have studied in Falun in the upper secondary programme as well as in some of the supplementary programmes. I notice the same thing when I visit Sweden’s professional orchestras. It is not difficult to see the great influence that the Falun Conservatory of Music has had and continues to have within the Swedish music world.

In April 2004 I gave a master class to the violinists at the Conservatory and was amazed and impressed by the students’ high standards. The positive and creative atmosphere was tangible, which also many former students later have confirmed.
