It seems almost superfluous, trying to describe the excellence of the Falun Conservatory of Music in regard to the training of guitarists. Statistics speak for themselves, don’t they?

As long as I can remember this school has been a reliable ‘royal purveyor’ of qualified applicants to the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and other music colleges throughout the country. In addition, an amazing number of former Falu students manage to take the step into the Swedish world of professional music.

In this context, one must not forget to mention P.O. Hedlund, an icon of guitar Sweden, who was connected to the school for many years. I also know that his predecessor Leif-Åke Wiklund holds his heritage in trust in a reassuring way. By the way, where do you think my most recent student received his preparatory training?
