Admission to the Falun Conservatory of Music is obtained through a series of entrance exams, which take place at the school in Falun. Playing and singing auditions are performed before a jury consisting of the teachers at the school.

The audition comprises two contrasting pieces of your own choice.
The next test is a sight-reading test that the jury will give you.
At the written aural test you will be seated in a classroom together with other applicants.
Depending on what instrument you play, some deviations may occur in the exams.

Finally remains a voluntary test in harmony, which will help the school place you in an appropriate group.

Applications for the upper secondary programme and for the supplementary programmes must be submitted no later than 1 March.
